Large Paring Axe
A very large European R/H paring axe with a 14 3/4" edge!
There is lots of steel left in the blade, but so old there is overall pitting .The blade is slightly curved along its edge as for fine paring work. Fitted with a 29" oak handle. This is a very early shape of blade that could be German or Austrian by the slanted shape of the eye typical of these countries.
